I tried this place for the first time this Sunday, I had their $3 dollar ice cream cup with tamarindo and chamoy. I will definitely be coming back to try their other ice cream flavors, the $3 dollar cup was huge, you definitely get your bang for your buck.

What a cool hidden gem/neighborhood spot! I think I stumbled upon this place via TikTok (thank you to the creator for putting me on!). They are so sweet and friendly here! The prices are insanely good - $1 per scoop of ice cream! I got the Mango and Guava with chamoy topping for only $2! I wanna come back to try the other items on their menu, I was a bit intimidated by the menu as a non-Spanish speaker tbh, but I'm sure they'll be happy to give you recommendations!

Cash preferred to avoid $1 charge on card transactions. I've been coming here for almost a decade and it's still great. I mainly come here for their Chamango, they let you chose as many flavors of sorbet you want. They don't recommend milk based flavors as it will curdle when they squeeze lime over top. If you just want regular scoops of ice cream, they're extremely affordable. $1 per scoop but minimum of 2 scoops.

Ahh I love this place. I been hooked since day one. Their raspados are so good and you have the option to add a scoop of ice cream! Yummm! The esquite is SO good. It's fresh corn!! Not canned corn. The ice cream is so good and taste so fresh. So refreshing during summer time. The diablitos are one of my favorites. You can pick different flavors for it. I have tried the mango, vanilla, watermelon, lemon, guava. All so good. The fresas con crema are okay, just depends on how you like the cream because it was not runny. It was more of a thicker consistency. I think their ice creams are a decent price. We paid 40$ for all this and I think it was the fresas and esquite that were the most pricey. The service is good. I've gone on a busier day too and they are nice, never rude. Definitely recommend!

They got really good service here the people who work here are nice it's nice and clean they keep this place clean the people who come here are nice God bless the workers here and God bless the people who come here

Discovered this spot a couple years ago and it's been my go-to for Chamango!! It's a pretty small shop that sells snacks of all sorts. Their service is pretty decent as I've personally haven't had a bad encounter yet. It's honestly the best during the summer since mangos are sweet and ripe. I tend to come here less in the colder seasons since the mangos are too hard and kind of raw, but hey, that's a personal preference!

Best Chamango in LA, great home made ice cream too with low prices and friendly service to boot. Whether on a hot day or cool day, there's something at Garcia's for you. I am hooked on the Chamango flavor profile so that is my go too. The large Chamango here is only $7.50 plus tax and that has 5 scoops of sherbet in it with a tamarind stick (which I decline). I prefer the mango and pineapple sherbets but there are many to choose from They will let you sample ice creams and gave generous size samples. I don't like cherry flavored desserts (because it reminds me of cough syrup) but was given a sample of the black cherry ice cream today and it was really good. Like , I may buy it next time good. The coffee ice cream was also very good. Paying cash is preferred.

Visitation Rights: Been here a handful of times. Credit Cards: They're accepted, but they tack on a surcharge fee. Use cash to bypass the fee. Restroom: No restroom available Wait Time: Lines can be long, but eventually you'll be able to get your mexican ice cream/sorbet/drink cravings satisfied. Location/Parking: Located inside a plaza between Adelia Ave. and Potrero Ave.. Plenty of parking in the shared lot. Ambiance/Decor: Alright ambiance. Most of the patrons mostly get it to go. There are couple of tables outside for you to sit and enjoy. Service: Service is pretty good. Staffers are friendly, offer great suggestions, and doesn't take long to get your purchase. Garcias Fruit Of Choice: I mostly get their: 1) Pina aguas frescas with no ice ($5 for a large) to maximize on liquid consumption. Very fresh, refreshing, and made to order. 2) Chamango is quite satisfying to consume. I usually order with less chamoy sauce, because I don't really like the spicy taste much. 3) Strawberry and Mango Shorbet: Once in a while, I do like to treat myself to a strawberry and mango shorbet ($4 cup). It is quite solid. 4) Elote in a cup: It's alright, but the corn they use is a bit hard. I do like the concept of having the corn kernals cut from the cobb, because it eliminates the mess and not having the corn get stuck between your teeth when you bite into it is a WIN for me. Garcias Fruit For Thought: Definitely don't mind patronizing this shop.
